The organizer, Nikki Moustaki, chose to utilize the money she normally spends on holiday gifts to focus on a cause close to her heart. "Instead of spending my money on shopping this year, I put it into showing support for the military dogs that are alongside our troops in Afghanistan," said Moustaki. In fact, it was so overwhelming that I also made donations to four shelters in my (Florida) area."
