Angelou has offered a personalized quote for a custom PeaceTag necklace. PeaceTags' net profits from the sale of these limited-edition pendants, which are being released the week of May 3, 2010, in honor of Mother's Day, will be donated to non-profit partners supporting veterans, their families and peace making causes.

Angelou's quote is simple, yet profound. "Peace is more than, and other than, the absence of war. Peace is the permanent presence of goodwill."

PeaceTags founder, Fredda Golden, created the pendants to be worn in honor of the service of veterans, and as an inspiration for peace and goodwill. The sterling-silver necklaces resemble the I.D. tags traditionally worn by military personnel, and were inspired by the memory of her father who was a veteran.

From May 1st-9th, 10% of sales of the new Maya Angelou PeaceTag, including both web and retail sales, will benefit the Fisher House Foundation. (While supplies last.
