Baptist Regional Medical Center Selects Pharmacy OneSource's Quantifi and Amplifi for Better Pharmacy Performance
Web-based pharmacy tools will help hospital use pharmacy resources more efficiently


BELLEVUE, WA, June 26, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Pharmacy OneSource, Inc., software as a service provider to more than 1,300 hospitals in the United States, announced today that Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin, Kentucky has implemented Quantifi to establish benchmarks and trending of clinical and quality pharmacy activities and Amplifi to manage their formulary and communicate medication information throughout the hospital.

Quantifi allows BRMC pharmacists to document their clinical interventions quickly over the internet or on a handheld computer through a series of menus, drop-lists, and input screens, collecting crucial event data easily. Quantifi users then have the ability to follow-up on their reports or the reports done by their peers. Administrators can easily generate executive level reports and detailed managerial reports to support clinical and quality improvement activities.

"Quantifi has helped us track our clinical interventions as well as productivity. These numbers have justified the benefit of our clinical pharmacists," said Cliff Niemeier, RPh, Director of Pharmacy at Baptist Regional Medical Center. "We are also using it to document anticoagulation monitoring to meet The Joint Commission's NPSG 3E requirement."
