Seton Family of Hospitals Selects Simplifi 797 to Help with Compounding Tasks
Software helps facilities be in compliance with cleanroom best practices

BELLEVUE, WA, October 22, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Pharmacy OneSource, Inc., software as a service provider to more than 1,200 hospitals in the United States, announced today that Seton Family of Hospitals has adopted Simplifi 797 to simplify meeting all of the requirements of USP Chapter _797_ for compounding sites throughout all nine of its hospitals.

"We're a nine-hospital IDN and we wanted a common solution that would allow the local management and the network management to be able to monitor how successful each site is in doing its tasks associated with the cleanroom to maintain accountability with Joint Commission and other regulatory boards," said Mike Brimberry, IT Pharmacist at Brackenridge Hospital. "Simplifi 797 lets everyone have the autonomy of the local site, but then at the network level it gives us the opportunity to monitor and provides a level of continuity and standardization that benefits us in our operation."

Simplifi 797 is a web-based application that automates, integrates and streamlines the quality activities and documentation required to meet USP Chapter 797. Simplifi 797 manages task scheduling and monitoring and automates the reporting of exceptions and compliance.

"We have some sites with three or four cleanrooms and those are a challenge to keep up with all of their 797 tasks. Simplifi 797's alert system lets them know when a task needs to be done," said Brimberry. "If they don't get around to doing it, the late notice goes to them, local management and network management so we can monitor at a distance and see how things are being maintained."
